With the ability to juice an 8-ounce glass of juice in five seconds, this 850-watt professional juice extractor features a powerful computer-controlled 14,000 rpm motor, which easily maintains the selected speed when juicing under heavy loads. Its Italian stainless-steel, micro-mesh filter separates the juice from the fiber and seeds of the fruit and vegetables so that maximum juice is extracted. To cut out all preparation time required for juicing, the unit's unique, extra-wide, centrifugal feed chute allows for whole fruits and vegetables to be added without the need for chopping them into pieces first. The juicer's two-speed electronic control offers low speed for juicing soft fruits and vegetables and high speed for more textured fruits and vegetables. For quick, easy clean up, all the juicer's parts are dishwasher safe except for the motor, and for added convenience, a disposable plastic bag can be used to line the large pulp container and then thrown away when finished. A 1-liter juice jug with a froth separator and a large-capacity, 2-1/2-liter, easy-to-clean, removable pulp container are included. This is a factory-reconditioned juicer which includes a 90-day manufacturer's warranty. Always make sure the Juice Fountain is properly and completely assembled before operating. As a safety mechanism, the unit will not turn “On” unless properly assembled. Always turn the Juice Fountain “On” to the low or high setting before adding any vegetables or fruits with the food pusher. It's got a satin nickel finish which also looks good on my countertop. It has few parts and all are easily detached and can be cleaned in the dishwasher top rack. You can also line the pulp catcher with a plastic grocery bag to catch all the pulp and then throw it away. The feed chute is fairly large and you can put a whole decent sized tomato or a small apple down it pretty easily. So it saves you chopping time. This juicer has 2 speeds - slow for softer fruits and veggies and high for harder veggies. The italian wire mesh spins at a very high rate and vegetable turn to juice and fine pulp in seconds. You are not supposed to run this juicer more than 3-4 minutes at a stretch but that's ok as it is so fast that in 3 minutes you could probably get through several pounds of veggies. First one looked beautiful but leaked all over the place. Second one arrived with dried food crud and a sticky base. Third one was sticky and had a moldy blade/filter. Breville didn't return phone calls or emails for one month. CSR representative was worthless. Amazon was great and accepted two returns for replacement. The juices these machines produce are very good and if you clean them immediately, that is easy to do. I can imagine that if you don't immediately clean them, they end up like the second one I received, with crust embedded and a clogged filter. This is a product that I wouldn't recommend buying in a "reconditioned" condition because Breville clearly lacks in the Quality Control area of their reconditioning center. I chose Breville over the Jack Lalanne juicer because I heard bad reviews about Jack Lalanne's juicer. I had a champion juicer that a friend gave me to use, which is an industrial type juicer. The champion was a good juicer, but I was only able to juice a few things before I had to pull it apart and clean it out. With the Breville, I can juice several things before it requires cleaning. You can actually fill up the juice catcher before it needs to be cleaned. The only con about the machine is that you can only juice hard pieces of fruit/vegetables for 4 minutes, then you have to give it a 1-2 minute break before you can juice more. That's no problem though if you're like me and don't juice a lot of hard fruits, or vegetables. Other than that, this machine works better than a champion. It also has a very large neck, so you can juice an entire apple without having to cut it up. It's terrific! I am so happy with my purchase! |
